How Illegal Immigrants feel about Americans

According to an AP article written by Eileen Sullivan and Matt Apuzzo, “Homeland Security Secretary Janet Napolitano wouldn’t talk about it, other than to say Customs officials prevented the plane from taking off. White House spokesman Robert Gibbs said the security system has fallback procedures in place for times like this, and they worked.”

The passengers on the plane that this terrorist boarded are very lucky that he sis not have a bomb on board the plane with him. Janet Napolitano and Robert Gibbs are extremely lucky, for the sake of their jobs, that it wasn’t the case. HOWEVER, Gibbs’ assertion that this “fallback system” worked is a blatant effort to downplay the event to save his reputation. The bottom line is, if the terrorist had a bomb on his person, there’s be a successful terrorist attack. This fallback procedures FAILED. As for Janet, it’s no wonder she won’t talk about it, look at what I found on a wikipedia article about her;

Sec. Napolitano was criticized for stating in an interview with CNN’s Candy Crowley that, “the system worked” with regard to an attempted terrorist attack on Northwest Airlines Flight 253 approaching Detroit, Michigan on Christmas Day 2009. She later went on NBC’s Today Show with host Matt Lauer and stated that the security system had indeed failed.

The statement by Napolitano to Crowley that received criticism was as follows:

What we are focused on is making sure that the air environment remains safe, that people are confident when they travel. And one thing I’d like to point out is that the system worked. Everybody played an important role here. The passengers and crew of the flight took appropriate action. Within literally an hour to 90 minutes of the incident occurring, all 128 flights in the air had been notified to take some special measures in light of what had occurred on the Northwest Airlines flight. We instituted new measures on the ground and at screening areas, both here in the United States and in Europe, where this flight originated. So the whole process of making sure that we respond properly, correctly and effectively went very smoothly”

There needs to be more active planning and testing of systems designed to protect air travelers. We’ve all had fire drills in school, right? Why can’t a terror drill apply in airports? The bottom line is, the man should not have made his way onto the plane, and instead of avoiding the conversation, Janet should have tried in some way to reassure American that she will be vigilant in orchestrating a more comprehensive planning and testing system.

There are plenty of articles out there about the tragedy in the Gulf, and there’s a lot of finger pointing happening. There is no point in arguing about what should or could have been done to prevent this atrocity against mother nature, it’s pointless.

Some people believe that BP is the culprit, but BP is not the only party involved with this nightmare. According to Wikipedia, the rig, Deepwater Horizon, was owned by a company called Transocean. Haliburton was also involved with operations on the rig. Haliburton, a company headed by our former vice president, Dick Cheney. Our own government is also involved in this catastrophe because it allowed the for lax safety protocols, and required not foresight into disaster recovery.

The sad thing is that BR, Haliburton, Transocean, and the people that run this country don’t rely on the Gulf Coast for their livelihoods, and they aren’t too broken hearted that they will never be able to vacation in the affected area, and see how beautiful it was before their greedy manipulation of power played a major role in the environmental carnage that is now the Louisiana, Mississippi and Alabama coasts.

Our representative haven’t made any comment into how to fix the problem, there are no emergency sessions of our house of representative to discuss how to protect the people that they represent from an economic blow, on which is second to the economic depression caused by the faltering US economy. Someone needs to be held accountable, but that’s not important right now – finding a carefully thought our solution to containing the oil spill comes first.

The use of marijuana for medicinal purposes is an excellent alternative to pumping your body full of chemcally derived prescription medication which often is accompanied by unpleasant and lifestyle altering side effects that can be worse than the symptoms for which the prescription was originally prescribed. There are also long term side effects that can degrade the patient’s health over a long period of treatment with chemically derived prescriptions which could lead to fatal conditions relating to liver and kidneys. If you are lucky enough to live in a state that allows medical use of marijuana, you should consider taking a close look at the drugs that you’re taking, look them up on Wikipedia.org and see for yourself what exactly your chemically derived prescription medication is doing to your body.

Why does a forklift operator at GM make $60,000? Simply because he or she is a member of the UAW, and the auto manufacturers must abide by contracts negotiated by this organization. What makes auto workers so special? I’ve heard arguments about how these businesses are located in impoverished and under-developed areas of the country that don’t have any other jobs. Well, then MOVE!!! So now, the American tax payers are absorbing the cost of $60,000 forklift operators. Where is the accounting workers’ union, or the general manufacturing workers’ unions. It’s unfair, and is an expensive mistake to let the UAW dictate prevailing wages and benefits. They must be dissolved…

Mr. Maddoff defrauded the American people, and devastated many people’s lives, and directly caused the suicide of at-least two people that lost everything while he and his wife sat pretty in a multi-million dollar Manhattan apartment.

These types of crimes should be classified as a capitol crime up there with treason – bottom line is Mr. Maddoff and people like him purposefully undermine the financial integrity of our economy for personal gain…

The government is using our hard earned tax dollars to bail-out the failing banks. How nice of us… They’ve proven that they are irresponsible even after receiving our bail-out money. Enough is enough… Technically the citizens of the United States own the banks that we bailed out. So why don’t we have any say in how the banks are run, and who gets bonuses for doing a good job? I think we should…

One would think logically, after failing so badly that you must rely on a federal bail-out, that a change in the way your business is run is needed badly. But we’re apparently not dealing with logical people at AIG. Read this news article about the matter. It seems to me that if your employees are threatening to sue you over bonuses, even while your business is running on public money, that you need to get rid of the greedy bastards. No-one at all deserves a bonus at AIG, the whole company failed. I would make an exception if their title is Director of Business Destruction, that person over performed!

Our president was a big supporter of ACORN, and we were supporting this organization with our tax money. Their funding has rightfully been revoked, however I feel that because, and I quote Bertha Lewis, CEO, “ACORN derives most of its income from its members and other supporters, so the decision will have little impact on overall operations.” we need to recover ALL of the money this organization has ever received from taxpayers.

It’s because people like George H.W. Bush, British P.M. John Major and former US Secretary of State James A. Baker are notable stakeholders in Carlyle Group whose investment holdings include a substantial interest in energy and defense.

Of-course nothing will be done to curb oil speculation, which is responsible for unsubstantiated inflated gas prices which has earned Carlyle astronomical profits while you and I decide whether we need to skip out on grocery shopping, or buying our medication just so we can afford to put gas in our cars to get to work every day.

If we pulled our troops out of Iraq, the demand for defense related products and services that Carlyle provides would diminish, and so would their income. Right at this very moment, our people are being killed, and innocent Iraqis are being killed, and The Carlyle Group is making a profit from the bloodshed.
